I had just returned from a funeral yesterday afternoon, when I found the pkg. from GrampaMike. The CD with the pictures of the Prairie Dog Shoot in OK.
As I was viewing the slide show, the generosity GrampaMike is evident for his doing this and offering them free to those who ask for them. Also, the following things are very obvious:
1. Grampamike is most gracious for taking the time and effort to produce these for us, and to ship them us on his dime.
2. The biggest thing in the pictures was the fellowship, stories told, tips swapped, advice given. Being able to put a face with the handle can be both enlightening and surprising.
3. Efforts by fellow shooters can come together to create an atmosphere that even though the weather may not cooperate to make for a flawless shoot, there was backup plan to make the trip more than worth it.
Even though there are plenty of pictures of prairie dogs, different types of shooting bench set-ups and rifle types, the most evident was the fellowship that abounds at these events. The pictures show the crux of why these can be such successful get-togethers.
After viewing these pictures, I really regret not being there for this one. Maybe next year!!! I can see why everyone there seems to be enjoying them selves and rightfully so .
From reading the reports, and seeing the pictures, we can really see what a Great Event the rest of us missed.
IMHO only the caliber of people here and our online sponsors, can execute such a high-class outing.
Thanks to GrampaMike for putting all the pieces together for this old man from Arkansas.
Thanks to Graybeard, and all of you guys who worked so hard to make this happen.
Maybe next year for me.
