« on: June 11, 2005, 04:46:30 PM »
Hope this is not wrong forum? Has any one shot the 7.62X39 brass cased copper bullet AK ammo from Portugal? It is 139.00 a case of 1000. Is his stuff old military being dumped on American market? Or is it a little later manufacture? I found it on Ammo man web site. Thanks beard01

I have never had any complaints with any Portugese
ammunition .  Especially the FN stuff made there.

Your right the FNM brand ammo is good and accurate too.  Some of the FNM brand seems to be manufactured in yugoslavia too. It seems the FNM and the Yugo brands are picking up the slack for some of the surplus ammo drying up.  I notice the FNM people are manufacturing 303 britt ammo too besides french MAS 7,5 and swede 6,5 and i hope they continue to add more calibers too.                            BB

I've shot about a case of it out of my AK. What I've fired has been pretty good, non-corrosive and as accurate as accurate as most other crappy 7.62. I have it on good authority though that the ammo is NOT European (Yugo, Bosnian, Port, Belgian) at all but actually IRANIAN believe it or not. I don't care where it came from. It's decent but Wolf is cheaper and just as good.
