seeking info about weaver K12-C3 scope. anybody out there know anything about when and where this scope was made? know of anyone that specializes in repair of old weaver scopes. is it worth repairing. it functions well but i unscrewed the ao objective to far trying to adjust it for long sight in and screwed it all the way off. i assume it just needs to be vacuumed filled with nitrogen and resealed.

I don't know how good this number is but try 915 593-1005 it's the Weaver repair # in Texas. I know some of the guys on Benchrest.com may also have a contact # if that one doesn't work.

Beautiful old scopes. I have one...optics are similar to Leuopold in full daylight, but they are poor in low-light conditions. I was thinking of asking them if it could be re-fitted with modern coated lenses. Sure would make a nice scope if it was that clear in low-light.

Hello all. I have used a number of the original steel tubed weaver scopes over the years. My experience with the fixed power models was very good,3x 4x and 6x, the variable models usually changed POI as you went through the power range so I avoid them.

The El Paso repair center does excellent work in my experience. However unless I wanted a vintage scope for an older rifle that would be period correct, there are much better optics available today. Regards, Byron
