Can anyone tell me when my S&W revolvers were made?
« on: June 16, 2005, 05:42:31 PM »
I tried to find this out on the Smith & Wesson forum, but for some reason I can't start new threads there. I can only post replies to existing ones.

Anyhow, I'm hoping one of you has the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson by Supica and Nahas and would be kind enough to let me know when my guns were made.

They are:
1) Model 332 no dash, Serial number CDF74xx
2) Model 581 no dash, Serial number AAH51xx
3) Model 19-5, Serial number AZA10xx
4) Model 686-3, Serial number BBY98xx

I have also had my eye on a Model 34-1 that I'm thinking about buying. It's serial number is 1139xx.

It would be greatly appreciated if one of you fine folks could help me out. Thanks, Shaylex :D

I am looking at purchasing a used S&W 629 44 mag and wanted to know what year it was made.

I emailed S&W and they sent me back an answer the next day.
