Sig with a green recoil spring
« on: February 19, 2003, 01:51:00 PM »
After I bought my p220 used in '96 I was grabbing any literature I could spot about Sigs. I read in a gun magazing that if the recoil spring has green on it then it is a model approved for plus p ammo. So naturally I looked and sure enough mine has some green (paint?) on the recoil spring. Anybody ever hear of this? I never read anything about that again. P.S. 220 is great: lite weight, accurate, totally reliable. Wonder why you don't see many at the range. In that price range people are getting "prettier" 1911's? Don't know.

Yep the green paint does indicate the + P spring.  Its 20# I believe.
