The .17 is the most fur friendly cal. on the market. I have a .17 AH, a .17-223 and a .17 Rem. I have yet to shoot a coyote with any of them, but I would not hesitate to use my .17 AH on them out to 150 yrds. I did shoot a big dog, abt 100 lb., with my .17 Rem. nd he dropped like a wet rag with 1 shot in the chest with a 25 gn. bullet. And as for the wind drift, it`s not as bad as the .223 or similar rounds. The guys that say it bad are the ones that have never shot them, great round.
