I got "The LOOK"

Yesterday evening, when the neighbors were closing up after their Garage Sale,  he walked over and handed me a Gun Rack he had made in shop class as a kid.  I immediatly said to him "Dang, now I will have to go buy a couple more Handis to fill this rack".  I turned around to find my wife standing behind me and yep, you guessed it,  I got "THE LOOK".  
PRICELESS moments like that are what keeps life interesting!

The biggest mistake I made was having the wife help me take a picture of my NEFs and post it one time :x . They don't forget either :? .

well of all people i thought a mature man like you paul would know better. i just make sure i never take more then three out at the same time and since handis look the same she don't catch me.


cookieman : a good way to counter this is to only tell your wife when you sell a gun and not when you buy one. its worked for me.

Hey guys.  Some of you are looking at it all wrong.  Mr. Frosty touched on it.  You have to get them into something like purses or shoes.  They need a matching ensemble for each occasion.  They know what your trying to do, but they can't resist a new package.  And, it helps to go with them occasionally to offer support.  Sometimes we have to sacrifice a little to get a lot.  Now, if I can only get the wife to stop buying purses that cost more than my Handi's.  HaHaHaHa.

Kidding aside.  It will be 26 yrs in July for the little lady and I and she often goes with me to the gun shows and shops.  Heck, in the past year she has bought me three guns herself.  And yes, I do go to the purse shop.  Like handirifle  said, "I wouldn't have it any other way".  She enjoys the excitment I get from buying a new rifle as much as I do watching her buy the "perfect" purse or shoes.

I am going to say it a little different than the other fellow . I got one wife and if any thing happen to her ,I don't want another one ,She taught me Well!   I will have 29 yrs  in Sept.with this one.  I got quite a few rifles  and hand guns but I still would like a Few More!  :lol:

Well guys,

I was just asked today how many rifles do you need?(been looking at the (17. cal handi)  We are getting married next summer and buying a farm mister :? ...I said I know but I always wanted a .17 cal....she said how about if I get it for you for CHRISTmas? Well me being resonable said  ok honey :grin: . This will be my second marriage and we been dating for 3 years. My hats are off to you guys that had loneger years than I.

     I like that but I had her for 35 yrs now even married her twice ( no divorce just celibate our 25th anv.) guise I am used to her now. But if ol DJ don't mind I just mite use his quote at the right times. :D

I get that look when I head into the office and bring up GBO becaus she knows that this board makes me want more guns. At least my passion is for cheap guns. Good thing for her I'm not into classic english doubles.

Well, since some of you brought it up,  it's been 31 years for my wife and I.  I wouldn't trade one minute of it for another Handi.  I would miss THE LOOK if it wasn't there anymore.  This time it was only in fun. I THINK!

When budgeting for your next Handi remember to allow for retaliatory spousal spending!!!!!!!

Heck, encourage retaliatory spending because you both will lose track of just who it is that is retaliating. In this way you will be able to maximize your Handi budget.

Well, I've been married for 24 years. I'm glad for her. But I have to admit that she is a real winner. She probably would be more happy if she didn't have MS. It has taken a toll on her mentally as well as physically. I'm glad she doesn't know exactly how many guns I have. If something was to happen to her, it would just kill me, though! One thing is I would NEVER remarry. I have the best. :wink: I don't get the look anymore, believe it or not, :lol: I let her know well in advance if I want to go to the range or to a 3-D SHOOT. I used to get the silent treatment, but no more. It doesn't work on me anymore. :D
