I just returned from a pig hunt in Monterey County here in the PRC and the guide had quite a tale to tell about shooting wild pigs with his 4" 44mag. He says he once shot three pigs in about 5 seconds using a 340 gr. WLN bullet in his Colt Anaconda. And yes, all of them expired quickly. I believe he said the distance was about ten to twenty feet. He didn't say so but most likely there was not a 300 pounder in the bunch but just the same, that reassures me that I'm on the right path with my own 6" Anaconda loaded with a 336 gr. WLN from an LBT mold powered to 1200 fps (chronographed) by 19 gr. of H110. I'll post the story of my hunt in the pig hunting forum.
