scope for a 10/22

I'm looking for a scope for my 10/22 I recently bought. The Weaver rimfire classic looks interesting. Any one have any experience with one? I'd prefer a fixed power and light weight too. Thanks, Dave

Thanks for the offer centershot but that's much more scope than I need and want. I do appreciate the offer though. Dave :D

How about a Japan made Tasco 4X with AO, I think it is actually an air rifle scope, but I had it on my 77/22.  Very nice scope in great condition. - I'd sell it for $75 shipped. I could get some picture for you if interested.

centershot, thanks for the offer but I'm going to wait a while. Two things have happened since I started this post. I blew out my right knee and since GM has the low prices on vehicles we're working on trading for a new pickup. Thanks again. Dave

A curious thing about the 10/.22 (I absolutely love these Rugers, by the way)... High priced scopes can go bughouse on these rimfires. I haven't quite put my finger on it but it seems like many "high quality" scopes, while made to withstand the punishment of recoil, to not stand up well to the little tic tic tic of the firing mechanism on these .22s. Scopes geared towards air rifles seem to hold up the best. Have also had good luck with Springfield Armory.
