i just returned from the most awesome ranch i have ever hunted,  i have hunted alot of hunting lodges and this place is the best by far. the owners are Joe and sue langley from Centerville Tx. the price is so resonable just about anyone can afford it the service is tiop notch  Joe worked real hard  from A to Z. alot of places i have hunted  will charge to bring a guest   then unless a paid hunter wont let them in the firld   Joe aloud me to take my 9 yr old daughter jasmine in the hunting area. at day light we were sitting behind a blind overlooking a gulley where an automatic feeder sits  we sat there about 1 hr then joe wanted us to get into a lean to and he would drive them to us. after about 10 minutes a big bunch of pigs came into my area just out of my bow range. me and jasmine made a little to much noise and scared the pigs away. about 15 min later about 20 pigs came in from the north  i was eyeballing a huge boar with some awesome cutters when he stopped broadside 22 yards  i drew released and used the wrong pin shot cleanly over the top of him. jasmine looked at me and said  daddy  you missed. i just told her na  the pig jumped out of the way lol. anyways i had been changing my sights around and put the green one on top the yello second and red third   the green pin blended in with the folage around and i lost the sight picture and used the wrong pin  lesson leaned.
    about 30 min later the hogs came back   i drew and picked out the first pig i saw  put the first pin on her and hit her right in the lungs  the shot was about 15 yards   she ran about 20 yards and ropped.  my equipment was a PSE bruin with Carbon wolverines and 100 gr muzzy broadheads the phone number to the ranch is 903-536-2619  graybeard if you read this   this is an awesome place to shoot a handgun for hogs  it is challenging but yet you will see hogs here is the picture http://www.hunt101.com/img/299683jpg

Great story about you and your daughter.   Thanks for the photo.   My daughter is 6 this summer and is bound and determined to shoot a deer and/or a hog this fall.   She has been hunting the past two years with her mother and decided it is her turn.
Sounds like a challenge for dear old dad.

I have a small piece of property just north of Centerville.    That area has many hogs, but on our place they are here today and gone tomorrow.   Wish it was more consistant hunting, but they do so much damage to the pastures and fields that the locals keeped the numbers trapped and dogged down.

Howie;

Thanks for the lead.

Called these folks to get some info, Joe seems like a real nice guy.

I've scheduled a 3-day hunt for late July, taking my Father and my Son.
