Great Deals on tackle???
« on: February 20, 2003, 04:17:09 AM »
There are some great deals right now your local Walmart, BassProShops, and Cabelas has some great buys/markdowns right now. Now is the time to shop before the warm weather and the rush starts.  Checkout GoFishing.com too he has discounted prices on tackle/rods/reels and his prices on plastics can't be beat either. It sure pays off to shop smart and save big bucks the more we save the more we can buy?? Nothing wrong with being "FRUGAL" I have never had so much tackle bought so cheap. You can never have enough fishing stuff and so much fun using it.

I owe a big thanks to the misses for teaching me how to shop "SMART" and save big $$$$ in the process!!!!!

I like to catch stores like Wal Mart when they are changing reel models.  Lots of times they will sell their displays for 20 or 25 dollars.  I either do 1 of 2 things with them, part them out with my reel repair business or use them if its one I like well enough.  I bought the K-mart version of a 5500 C last year for $20, added a set of ABEC 7's to the spool in place of the bushings, and have a great reel.

Its kinda like the difference between Sandlot Baseball and Playing on the Team.
The difference is Practice

This is what I like about GoFishin.com he has last years models or older still new 50% off some of them.  I also picked up some other spinning reels made by Okuma "10" ball bearings very smooth. But your right about Walmart sometimes they just dump stuff just to get rid of it.
