Streamlight customer service quality
« on: June 30, 2005, 01:17:06 AM »
I own a Streamlight Scorpion, I bought in 1996 that worked fine for all these years but having been turned on accidently while in the nylon pouch and stayed ON for quite a while before I noticed it, the lens had slightly melted because of the intense heat.

I emailed Streamlight and asked if I could get a replacement lens. They explained it takes a special tool to do and I should send the head to them for a free lens replacement. I informed them that unfortunatly I was living in France (unfortunate indeed as socialism is leading the country to chaos as I can witness, not being french !  :( ) and send the head assy to them would not be practical.

Guess, what ? They send me a new head assy free of charge and I received it 5 days later !

That is what I call quality of service !

My son will be in LA this summer and I will ask he brings me back the new Streamlight with  LED !

BTW: keep the liberals out of the way !

I too have been using Streamlights for many years. I bought my first one when working as a LEO for the Anchorage Police Dept. in 1978. It was cutting edge at the time with its 30,000 candle power. That light still works great. I have replaced the battery pack one time and replaces bulbs about 4 times. The light has been a very good investment. How many others can say their flash light that is 28 years old still works great!!!! I also have a pair of stinger ultras that I now carry when on patrol. They too, in my mind, cant be beat!!!
  Have fun,

I have a 10+ year old streamlight flashlight.  Since I couldn't find replacement bulbs, I called their customer service.  They told me the price and availability of the bulbs that I needed.  Quick turn around shipping after they received payment.
