I am starting to shoot my bow and I am trying to decipher the # game. I am trying to decide between 100gr and 125gr tips for practice. Is there a good all around arrow I am not sure of the exact wt on my bow just trying to get started and all. I dont have a local shop and my friend that bow hunts is really up on things he's the type he can pick his bow or rifle up shoot it 3 times and is ready for a season of succes. He prob couldnt tell you what grain bullet he shoots. so he wont be much help. So I look here

Use the same weight you are going to use with a broadhead. I use 125 gr. Muzzies and I use 125 field tips. But you will have to pick a weight that works best for you.

should I shoot both and choose the most accurate or is best for me something else. Do you have any suggestions on a good all purpose aluminum Arrow

The arrows will have to be chosen for the pound of bow you shoot. You can't shoot to big (Heavy) of an arrow with a light poundage bow. I shoot Easton XX78 arrows. I chose a heaver broadhead and the same weight field tips. You may want to try 100 gr. It would be nice to find someone close to you that is in bows. It is not real complicated but it helps to have someone that knows bows. I have help a lot of new shooter to bow hunting.

Easton has a great website that you can calculate all the information you will need and give you several choices of target and hunting arrows. good luck TVC15

You will need to know the poundage that your bow is set to as well as the draw length in order to use the Easton site. You'll also have to choose your tip weight prior to choosing an arrow as well.

You can use most any hanging scale that ranges between 40lbs & 80lbs to find the bow pounds. The other two factors are easy to figure out as well.

I need arrow help too , Please. I've got a 70# draw wt, 31.5" long arrows, 125 gr. points. I need to know what size arrows to get. Easton site says " sorry, no shafts available." I went to the Gander Mountain where I bought the bow to ask them. Spent 30 mins. in the archery dept. and never saw 1 employee to help me :x .
