Is it safe and possible to hand ream a 22 hornet to a 22-250 assuming head space is correct? If not where can I get a 22 250 barrel? If a hornet is converted will the rate of twist work?

I think the 22-250 barrels are available through the barrel accesory program. Just give CS a call and see what they tell you. Ask for Jennifer.

I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

H&R offers 2 22-250 barrels, #R03133 22" blued $82 and #R03174 22" SS $109. Twist rate for the hornet is 1:12", 22-250 is 1:14".

just my opinion, but...
I'd purchase the 22-250 barrel from NEF, then if you're happy with it-sell the 22 Hornet to offset some of the cost. I'm sure one of the guys here will jump on the offer.
