500 S&W Loads
« on: July 01, 2005, 08:35:14 AM »
The big brown truck dropped off my latest accessory barrel order yesterday.  I must say I'm pretty impressed with H&R's turn around this time.  I sent the reciever in June 3rd and received it back June 30 with 4 barrels including the 500 S&W that H&R was still waiting to recieve when I sent the action.   I was wondering if anyone has a good load for the 500 S&W.  I have some 330 and 375 cast and some 325 jacketed bullets this is my first 500 so I was hoping to get some info on loads that have worked well for others.

The latest Lyman Pistol and Revolver book has a bunch of loads (besides the ubiquitous Hodgdon data) I've not seen elsewhere. Otherwise scout around on the 'net. -- there's stuff out there.

Thanks,  I'll look into the lyman pistol and revolver book.  I got some load data from friends shooting revolvers so I'll give them a shot.  Hopefully I can get out to the range soon these tropical storms are cutting down on my range time.
