Model 85SS and Corbons?
« on: July 03, 2005, 02:45:07 PM »
I just got a new 85 Stainless 2" ultra lite, with CT grips and was given (bythe dealer) a box of Corbon 38spec. +P 110gr JHPs. I know the 85 is +P rated but the Corbon box says, 1250fps and 382ft/lbs. I know thats SMOKING out of a 38. Corbon says they meet SAAMI +P specs. BUT.... Any personal experence or first party stories on this combo. Most my shooting will be std. vel stuff with Speer Gold Dots for defence stuff.  If this piece was a .357/38 I wouldn't be asking this, but this is not a SP101 here. What say yee guys...
 Thanks, CraigJS

Personally I have shot handloads a little hotter than that out of the wifes 85 with zero problems, but if that particular load leaves questions in your mind don't use it.... :D
