Ruger No 1-A .357 Magnum??
« on: July 03, 2005, 02:47:55 PM »
I have a chance to pick up a Ruger No 1-A in .357 Magnum. The rifle is in excellent condition, and has been shot very little.  Any idea of the value of this gun, or possibly how many were made?  I've done a few searches on the internet, but haven't come up with much.

Thanks!

The Ruger Number One in .357 Magnum is an unusual beast, but not unheard of.  A .357 Magnum California Highway Patrol commemorative was made in the late 1980's.

You'll probably have to contact Ruger for production figures on their commemoratives and special editions.

I would buy it if it didn't cost more than say 5-600 dollars, it may be worth more as a collector.  I'm a shooter and my No. 1s get used.
