I saw on this forum last week that there was a BC barrel on ebay, so I thought I'd check it out. Lo and behold it was located about 30 miles from where I live. I emailed the guy and asked (just for curiosity) if he had a buy it now price. I don't know the circumstances, whether he needed money in a hurry or what, but the reply was 2 days and no bids-I'll take $110 and end the auction now. He even met me halfway and delivered it. It isn't new, but it is darn nice, and it has the sights on it. Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good. In the same vein, two weeks ago, I was at a gun show. There was a shotgun with the nice camo laminate stock set. I bought it for $80. Took the stocks off and put them on my 357 mag handi. Took the now refinished stocks from the 357 and put them on the shotgun, went to another gun show, and sold it for $75. Five bucks for a camo laminated stock set is kind of like a Christmas present. Now if I can just find a 35 Whelen for about a hundred bucks, life would be complete.
