The PPK is my personal favorite small semi-auto but from feed back IÂ’ve been reading on the net, Kahr seems to have a large following of satisfied users.

Don't know about the PPK, but I've been carrying a SIG Sauer P232 (.380) for three years now, and have no complaints. It may be a little larger than a PPK, but conceals well, has a light aluminum frame, and is very accurate. The only ammo it does not like, thus far, is Federal Hydra-Shok.

The only other one I can think of might possibly be the Beretta Model 35 or the Model 70.  However, if someone offered me a PPK or a PP in 380 I would gladly accept it.  Mikey.

My Bersa Thunder .380, a PPK look-alike, puts the slugs where you aim.   ...most accurate semi-auto I've ever owned.

Hey Sir Knight - you showed one of S&W's newer models, with the improved grip and the like.  Have you compared this against one of the older models for grip, feel and recoil control?  I would be interested in hearing your opinions.  Thanks.  Mikey.

hmm, This week I checked out the Karh along with the ppk and others-many folks speak highly of the Karh, but it just seemed too much like a toy to me. I did put my hands on a Beretta BDA 380 and liked that A LOT! I am gonna keep searching a little while longer, but thanks for the input

I never shot any of the older ones but have had them in my hand and the newer one seem to sit better -- at least for me.

Have had one for several years, never failed to feed and fire.

As an aside, shot a large dog, shepard size with it and was impressed.  He died within 30 seconds from a hit in the ribs angling towards the heart.  We get animals that are abandoned at my father in laws farm because it is isolated.  Had small children then and if the animal didn't look right we removed it.

I've got one of those old German-made Walther PPK-S 380's.  I like it a lot.  It's an easy gun to carry; but, I've got to tell you:  While it has never jammed under any circumstance, it kicks like a mule!  After 100, or so, rounds my hand starts to get nice and sore!  (I think it's a combination of:  light weight, short barrel, blow-back action, and that very narrow grip.)  

Good, 'belly gun' - though!  It WOULD have done the job Clemenza wanted Michael Corleone's piece to do inside of Louie's Family Restaurant.  (Try the veal - Best in town!)  ;)

I have one of the interarms ones - instant slide bite - a lot of polishing made it more-or-less reliable with ball ammo

My Kahr PM9 never bites and has been absolutely reliable with all factory rounds and most reloads - it does jump a little, but it's amazingly accurate for such a tiny thing

lubbockdave:  if you like the BDA 380, you might like the Taurus version of the same pistol.  I believe the Taurus has a slide safety that allows the hammer to be cocked with a round chambered and carried that way.  I think the Beretta is a da on the first shot, but that the Taurus can be carried with the hammer cocked back and the slide safety locked.  You might like that set-up better.  HTH.  Mikey.

I don't know why poster fans won't print their complete serial numbers on posts but if this gun of mine ever gets stolen you will know it is legally mine. I will save this message. This is my absolute favorite handgun. I bought it used. It never ever malfunctions. And to date, the most accurate handgun I have ever had to 25yds--including every other handgun I have ever had--even that Super Blackhawk from the 70s. IMO (not humble in this case) if you (anyone) can find it possible to get a PPK you must try it out and compare it with any handgun of "concealed" potential. Just my opinion.

I have both a German and interarms and find favor with both. though I do not carry the German because it is blued and almost pristine.
The stainless is a joy to shoot and is just very durable.

Is the limit for this concealed carry gun. You could add power too. But for carry there is NOTHING else that will work. At under 25 yds.  Unless you think you need a magnum or something.
