My first Handi, a SS 243 Synthetic would never group or shoot very well. I had bought a 223 Ultra Varmit Fluted with the Choate stock and I liked it so well I ordered another stock from Choate. Got a 308 Survivor and replaced the stock and fore end with the Choate. Having a bad shoulder, was worried about recoil of the 308. Also, took the fore end from the 308 Survivor and put it on my 243. Shooting off the hood of my Z71 I was surprised by the mild  recoil and accuracy of the 308. Even more surprised that now my 243 would group and no flyers! Will know more for sure when I go to the range and shoot at 100 yards, but my preliminary results make me very , very Happy! :-D

Sounds like a lot of swapping around, but if it works, then all the better.
