Only trapped boars

I've only trapped 3 hogs so far since I started last month, but they have all been 80 to 90 lbs boars. May be a little too soon to view this as a pattern, but possibly it makes sense. Do your medium size boars  run alone or with other like boars (like deer bucks) and the rest of the group, (the sows, guilts, pigletts) run in larger groups? This would explain why I've onlt trapped boars. Perhaps the large group has not been back on my property and I have just caught the wanderers. I appreciate all advice from you guys. This forum has helped me out learning about pig hunting and trapping. The internet is a great thing at times.

the big boars generally run alone sometimes there will be an exeption younger boars stay together alot you will find big boars around sows in heat

I see young boars mixed with sows and young shoat on a regular basis. My theory is that when sows come in heat the bigger boars run them off. Then I have noticed young boars as singles or in groups of up to 7 or more. This is just my theory but I have been hunting and trapping hogs for 35 years and it makes the most sense to me. In several areas I hunt regularly and know well, I find that almost all the hogs stay in the general area and in the course of a short time, they all arrive at the feeders either individually or in small groups. Often, the truly large boars make their presence known in the form of noise, fresh rooting or fighting but do not break cover except late at night. If you have ever witnessed two really big boars fighting, you will never forget it.
