Mauser;
I wrote that article and as I stated in it, it was not an official announcement by any means. Ruger is very tight lipped about what they are working on but I posed a question to a Ruger engineer about a possible 480 in the Bisley. He told me, as they usually do, he wasn't free to discuss it. I then asked, "If I were to speculate in print that Ruger would soon chamber the .480 in a Bisley, do you think I'd end up with egg on my face?" He replied, "No, I don't believe you would." That, combined with the fact it makes sense for Ruger to chamber their own round in more guns than just the Super Redhawk, led me to make the speculation. There were other factors as well but the gist is it was speculation based on both inside info and common sense.
