My Tech Force 99M shoots the 18.2 gr. .22 Crow Magnum pellets above 825 fps. thus giving me 28(+) fpe.
Hi Lawdog!
That TF99M of yours is something very special. According to your post, it is more powerful than all production springers I can think of, incluiding Kodiak / Patriot, RWS 350, RWS 48-54 and RX2 / HW90 (Gas Ram). More powerful than many of the current pcp's, and at the same power level as the Theoben Crow Magnum, Eliminator and some Whiscombe's. Sure it would makes at least a couple of Guiness records!
mjfa,
Factory ratings(which should be used as a guideline ONLY as most factories over state the fps. ratings by at least 5% and that in many cases they are using light weight pellets that you or I can't get a hold of and shouldn't use anyway do to possible damage that could be done to "magnum" springer/gas ram rifles) for the following rifles you quoted:Tech Force 99m - .22 caliber, 900 fps.(just for the heck of it)
Kodiak / Patriot - .22 caliber, 865 fps.
RX-2 - .22 caliber, 860 fps.
RWS 350M - .22 caliber, 1050 fps.
RWS 48/52 - .22 caliber, 900 fps.
RWS 54 - .22 caliber, 900 fps.
Theoben Eliminator(Beeman doesnt import anything from Theoben anymore) - .22 caliber, 935 fps.
Theoben Dual Magnum - .22 caliber, 1060 fps.(now discontinued)Now for a few PCPs
Air Arms S400/410 Xtra - .22 caliber, 1,000 fps.
Air Force Condor/Talon - .22 caliber, 1,250 fps.
Theoben Rapid 12 - .22 caliber - 1,000 fps.
Career 707 - .22 caliber, 1,000 fps.
LOGUN S-16 FAC - .22 caliber, 959 fps.Take into account that all my rifles have been tuned which does improve the velocity on top of making them a smother shooting rifles. I dont know about the RX-2, dont own one and have no desire to own one but I have owned a Kodiak in .22 caliber(traded it in on a Kodiak in .25 caliber) and it shot Crow Magnum pellets at 847 fps. My son in laws RWS 350M in .22 caliber shoots at 1,013 fps. I have a few friends that own RWS 48/52/54 and all will shoot 848+/- fps. using Crow Magnum pellets. I own a Crow Magnum IV in .20 caliber but I traded a Crow Magnum III .22 caliber in to get it. That Crow Magnum III got 852 fps. using Crow Magnum pellets. My Dual Magnum gets 1,034 fps.
PCPsMy Air Arms S410Xtra gets 913 fps. and my cousins Air Force Talon SS gets over 1,170 fps. using Crow Magnum pellets. My wife shoots a .20 caliber Beeman Super 12 MKII(1,052 fps.) and I shoot a Rapid 12/250, .25 caliber(918 fps.) at full power shots on full tanks. All velocity from over my chronograph.
If you are going by fpe ratings for European(and Canadian) made air rifles take into account that they have a limit, by law, to how much energy the rifles they can use are able to have in their countries. What they import to America are much more powerful. Dont always go by what you read. Lawdog
