I just picked up a new Taurus 172 pump on close-out at Cabela's for $199. Anybody have any experience with this clone of the Winchester Model 62? Why did Taurus drop it? It shoots great but my days of using open sights are about over. I like the fact that it takes down into 2 pieces that easily fit my day pack. It's my second .17 HMR, the first being a Savage BVSS that is probably the most fun to shoot gun I have ever owned, even with a factory trigger that isn't exactly something to write home about.
