The .375 WCF is about equivalent to the .35 Remington when handloaded. It is a fine deer/black dear handgun cartridge, and although appropriate bullet selection is rather slim there are enough to do about anything this cartridge is capable of. Some published data for the Contender indicates it is possible to exceed .35 Remington performance slightly, while other data (Sierra) shows the two to be identical. Regardless, 100 fps is not significant, and the two are for practrical purposes the same. A .375 handgun or carbine is a fine hunting arm.
