Has anyone shot any of this ammunition, specifically the 300 win mag in their Encore??

If not can someone recommend a good load for this rifle and caliber for deer hunting??

Bought this Encore and will hunt with it this fall and was wanting some suggestions for ammunition, don't reload, YET

Managed Recoil ammo ........esspecially to guys who handload their own ammo is about as appealing as dirt pudding. We have managed our ammo forever...up and down the ladder. What little bit of factory ammo I have shot from my .3oo win I found that Frontier/Hornady 165 gr. BTSP standard ammo is about as good as it gets.

BKS,

I've not tried the reduced recoil rounds yet,but I know guys who have. They were using them in 30/06 and were pleased with them. For someone who doesn't reload, try the 150 gr Rem or Win rounds. These don't have the recoil of the 180 or larger.

If you were to get into reloading, your choices of loads are just about endless. 110 gr on up to 220gr.
