is something loose?
« on: July 15, 2005, 05:10:03 PM »
I have an encore with synthetic stocks. I have checked and double checked everything on this gun and I cant find anything even remotely loose but yet if I hold the gun loosely and close it smartly I hear a buzzing/rattling sound that seems to be coming from the hollow synthetic buttstock. I have checked the allen head bolt that holds the stock to the receiver and recoil pad twice and find no sign of looseness. Is this just the sound of the action being closed and echoing in the hollow buttstock?

I think it is inherent in synthetic stocks. My sons encore has a synthetic stock and I hear what you describe.

I hear a little harmonic type sound when I close my action. Never have tried to find out what it was....assumed it was the norm and just kept on shooting.
