I purchased this new a few weeks ago and now have nearly 150 rounds through it. I really like the gun. I did have one failure to feed issue with it, but that was with the cheapest Winchester ammo I could find. Also, I haven't cleaned the gun yet (even when new), and that may be needed as well.

I find the gun to be very accyurate and pleasure to shoot. I think it was a good buy for $200.

Anybody else here shoot these little guns?

Bought one about two weeks ago. Haven't had a chance to shoot but about 3 magazines through it, but it feels good. I was really surprised how accurate it was. Can't find too much bad said about them anywhere. Was told to put blue lock tite on the grip screws and to check the snap ring under the right hand grip. A few have had them break, but they are a hardware store item. I need to get to the range and really try mine out. Seems to be a great little pistol for the $.

They're great little guns!

I've had several different Bersa's over the years, and have shot a bunch that friends bought(because of my recomendation). I bought one for my fiance, and she loves hers too. The Bersa 9mm is also a very nice gun.

Look at your local shops, or gun shows for some "Silver Bear" ammo. It's Russian stuff, but shoots exellent, and really seems to shine in these pistols from my experience. I buy it by the cases. I recently bought Melissa a case(500 rounds) of 380 Silver Bear 92g HPs for just over $50.

Hello Bonedigger,

I am glad you are pleased with your Bersa. I have been thinking about getting one for summer carry. Your comments and from others have convinced me to get one this week. I know the 380 is not the best for personal protection, but with the right load it beats nothing. I usually carry a 1911- A1 45acp, but it is hard to conceal with shorts and T-shirt.

I disagree about the .380 being too small for self defense. I think a .22 mag will work as long as you hit what you are shooting at. In most instances, a well placed bullet, regardless of the caliber, is going to stop an assailant in their tracks. Yes, a .380 would be too small for a military or police usage, but then many of the police I have heard from have used the .380 as a backup. If you are dealing with a doped-up heroin addict, then yes it may be too small, but how often do we have to do that in east Texas?

BTW, if you want to shoot my .380 sometime, just send me an e-mail to tylercyclist@yahoo.com. We'll meet over at Lock and Load in Tyler and you can fire a few clips through it and see if you like it.

Bonedigger,

I didn't express myself very well on my previous post. I think the 380 is a great caliber if you know it's limits. I was comparing it to my 45acp. I fill that if I do my job the 380 will do it's job.
I like it well enough that I bought the Bersa Thunder 380 Duotone on Wednesday. Shot it today and was amazed at the accuracy.
I wander into Lock-n- Load from time to time, renewed my CHL there last February. Great bunch !!!!

I've been carrying my Bersa Thunder 380 since Jan. Accurate, inexpensive, easier to carry then my 1911A1.

Best $239 I ever spent.
