Red Dot Scopes- which one?
« on: July 21, 2005, 07:23:09 AM »
Does anybody have a recommendation on red dot scopes for Contenders?  Would use it on a 7-30 sized caliber.  Needs to handle the recoil.  Don't need top of the line, but don't want a piece of junk either.  How accurate are they vs an optic scope?

Ultra-dot. I have one on my 500 Mag. Recoil is no problem, over 2000 rounds fired.  :D

Most people won't agree with this but i have a BSA. It has been on two shotguns. My Contender 7-30 Waters and is now on my Contender 41 Mag. I have never had a problem with it.

What kind of accuracy can you get with your Ultra-dot at 100 yds or less?
