I need to get a trail cam. I already know where to find the deer on my property, but I am fascinated with what goes on in the woods that we never get to see.

You, should, its awesome.  That buck in the pictures, I'm pretty sure he's the same one I got pics of last fall. But other than the pics I never saw him. Well maybe once but it was too dark to be sure.

This camera is a cheapo stealth cam, $59 at walmart. I'm thinking on going digital tho. Just needs to be careful where I leave it. A $59 camera walks its not so bad but the digitals start just over $100 & I'll likely spend closer to $300. Maybe hang it from a branch shooting down.

Those are from Wilton CT. Its a pretty good spot & bumps up to a resivior & a huge chunk of land belonging to a rich paranoid guy. I'v had the camera up in NH before but never got anything on it. I didnt try bait tho I it seems to matter with this camera. If the animals dont hang around in front of it it dont always work. I had it out there 5 feet off a train for 3 weeks & only got 5 pics, 2 were me  :)  1 was woods & 2 racoons. I know they are using the trail when they go from the resivior to the paranoid fellows land & back but it just doesn't get them. I threw out a feed block & filled the cam in less than a week. I really need a good digital but every time I startt fixin to get one I think about 3 or 4 hundred bucks strapped to a tree for weeks on end aint real smart. But I aint real smart either so I'll end up with one.  :D  :)
