anybody tried these yet?
I bought some with the idea of a 300-600 highpower load that doubles as a hunting load.
I've been shooting Sierras over 44gr IMR 4064, but I got to thinking......the Triple Shocks have 3 cannelures(grooves) which should decrease the bearing surface(and pressures).......

They are extremely accurate in my .300 Win Mag.

When I first tried the 168gr TSXs, I just up'ed my 168gr Matchking charge by .2gr and loaded the bullet so that the last "ring" was just covered by the case mouth. That shot so well that I found no need to mess with the charge any further.

alrighty - thanks Mark....
got the bullets today and they even come with a little insert that says one might indeed need to load a little more to make up for the reduced bearing surface.

well I shot them today - I reduced the load to 43grs 4064 just to start off with. They shoot about 4" high and 2"right POA from the Sierra MK's at my 200yd zero. I'm assuming the 4" high is due to the reduced bearing surface. Why they would shoot right I have no idea.
Is this normal? I'm sort of new to reloading - smokeless anyways....

Your point of aim is not always going to be the same bullet to bullet. Once you get a certain bullet sighted, in stick with it.
