45-70 Bore and Groove Dimensions

•  Per H&R ....... Bore -  0.450 and 0.456 grooves
•  Actual .......... Bore –  0.4525 and 0.454 grooves

Does anyone have different dimensions?

My Handirifle is .4565, I did not bother to measure the bore.
Shoots good with .457 and .459 dia cast gcs.

hi john  
my buff classic is .452 bore and .4562 grove. i shoot .59 lee 500r sized to.57,  
it casts out at 508 grns with 20 to one mix mite try 30 to one mix see wot they come out at.
