Dave: I tried the round ball load from the Speer #10 book long ago. Used 3.6 grains of Unique. First time I tried them out was a COLD February morning down on Turnagain Arm near Peterson Creek, I think. First shot went OK, saw snow fly and all. Couldn't see where shot #2 hit, nor shot #3. Decided--thank God--to check the Super Blackhawk. Sure enough, had two round balls stacked in the barrel. :oops: I don't guess that combo of powder charge/primer worked well in near-nuthin temperatures... Dennis
