Have any of you ever used a Weazel ball along with a mouth call for coyotes? Just bought one off e-bay for 99 cents. They love those things. don't even hold up at the edge of a timber. They just come running.
    For anyone that doesn't know what they are there a cat toy. they have this little ball that a tail with eyes is attached to and they roll all over like a squirrel having fits.

yup i got cat's. They're electronic right? I've never bought one for em' must mean they're expensive for cat toys. I want to try coyote hunting in South DAkota. Never seen em but i think they're out there i mean its SD. I thought i'd put a decoy out 150-200yrds out and call em maybe. I don't know anything about Coyote hunting

My wife had one of those for HER cats.

I thought about using it for a coyote decoy, but the batteries didn't last very long.  We lost it before I had a chance to try it.  

If you can get them that cheap on Ebay, I might have to buy a few and try them this season.

That wouldn't be a bad idea. I think i'll have to pick one of those up. Coyotes are so abundant here season is year round. I just started last year with my 223 so this fall shouldn't be bad at all. When the lake drops i'll start walking the lake bottoms with my 223 to see what i can see.

corns up around here. pretty hard to find coyotes now. but once fall gets here I'll be out look'n. usually have better luck when theres a little snow on the ground though. come jan. and feb. They will come into anything there so hungry. We have coyotes very thick up here. watched 2 take on turkeys last year. and have seen them drag down a deer the year before. I parked a little closer to my tree stand that year.

Great I bought it for my animal loving girlfriend for her cats. Now I just have to find a way to ask her for it so that I can kill one. Chances are that she wont be too crazy on the whole idea. :cry:

Just let her know that cats are a favored food for coyotes and you might be saving one of hers from the coy-dog dinner bell.

We here in Ohio have average to above average Yote population.  I usually hunt with a buddy (one to hold the light, one to shoot).  We have used about everything under the sun as far as calling and decoying.  If its a windy day or night don't over look those squirrel tales from last fall.  Tie one to the end of a stick and let the wind do the work.  Yotes are quite the investigators.  Had an old dog just a week ago who was trying to hunt us.  He had run 360 on us trying to wind us.  Nothing like a challenge bark and howl in the middle of the quite night to fire ya up.     :grin:
