STUCK CASE
« on: July 25, 2005, 06:53:44 AM »
I went out the other day and fired the Handi 06 I seem to run into a problem again with an empty case that would not eject when fired.
I was wondering  if there is anything to look for why this is happening,I did remove the case with my range rod ,no problem came right out.
The gun shot excellent 3 shots just under 7/8 at the 100 yard target.
I would say total rounds fired in the Handi 50 rounds with 3 stuck cases

3 things will cause stuck cases...

1. Military or too hot ammo.

2. Solvent, oil or any contaminent in the chamber.

3. Rough chamber, easily polished with methods mentioned in the sticky near the top of this forum list....Cleaning and hand lapping our Handi's

I polished the chamber w/ flitz before I shot the (brand new) gun.  .223 ultra varmint.  Only fired about 100 or so rounds so far.  No problems.  Also, I did find out that groups improve exponentially when the scope turrets are in the correct horizontal and vertical direction!!
