I tried shooting a gun I hadn't shot in over six months. It's a custom target gun for bullseye built by Clark. It was awkward to hold, recoiled more than my usual target 45 and in general seemed old-timey in it's design. I didn't appreciate the oil it left in the web of my hand either. I really felt that I should sell it because it's not nearly as good as a gun of modern design. The gun in question was a 1911.
I don't care what anyone says, the new designs are better. Period. Anyone saying otherwise simply hasn't tried a Sig or a Pardini.
