Never seen one, but this is the first place I go to find the maker of the store brands...

This site is also the first place I go to for hard to find parts.
According to the chart, if it is a Sears model 73 it is a Savage. If it is one of the many Ted Williams 73 models, it is a Winchester model 70. There is no mistaking the two if you have the gun in hand.

model 73

My Guntraders lists a Model 53 bolt action marketed by Sears and made by Savage but no Model 73 is listed.

I remember the Ted Williams model from about 30 years ago.  Seems to me it was a model 70 sold under Williams name.  If I recall it was quite popular for a few years.  Most of the ones I saw were long actions in .270Win. and .30-06.  Ted Williams was a spokesman for Sears at the time.  A lot of products bore his name.  I still own a Ted Williams tent from that period.  Best wishes.
