22-250
« on: July 28, 2005, 09:45:41 PM »
I might be blind but I don't see a 22-250 on the barrel acc. program on the NER/H&R site.

Wanted to add the 22-250 while the receiver was having a 44mag barrel fitted.

Worse comes to worse I'll call but you all are so keen on the barrel program I thought I would ask here first.

Warf,
The 22-250 _ 22" barrel is one that is being offered at the discounted price that is good until 9-30. It's $77 plus $10 handling, just call 'em up and tell that's what ya want. Shouldn't be any problem. I personally am giving serious thought to one of the Ultra Varmint Fluteds in this caliber for next year's PD hunt. Let us know how yours works out if ya get it. Lots of interest right now, but not too many owners of this one yet.

I have one but I bought the gun cambered in this. Its a pretty good shooter with factory loads but if you intend to reload becarefiul to watch your pressures pretty close! Look around at some of the posts I have posted on trying to get my gun to shoot should be helpful once you get the gun and start tryin to get it setup,.

The 22-250 is offered in 2 configurations from the acc barrel program, #R03133 22" blued and #R03134 22" stainless. It's also available as a complete rifle in a 24" blued, fluted bull barrel, but not from the acc barrel program.......yet.

Just got off the phone with H&R. I was asking them about the 22-250 barrels, they still have blue and stainless in the 22".
I asked about a 24" in the Fluted Bull and mentioned Graybeard NEF/H&R forum how you all were steering me into the right direction and the nice lady knew what forum I was talking about

I will be getting a call back Monday if they will do me a barrel in the:
22-250 24" Blued fluted bull.

They didn't want to say yes without their managerÂ’s approval.

Since my receiver will be there I just have to get the 44mag barrel 8)

I'm starting to get excited about this now
