Someone please tell me what factory load they use in their 300 Mag Encore to deer hunt with. I posted this on the deer hunting forum with no replies as of yet.

I know each barrel can be different on which load it likes, but would like some proven choices from other Encore owners.

Hi I will try to help I have a Tikka in 300win. It likes both 150/180. I would shoot 150 grain that is if your only going after deer. Try some remington I just got a 3006 barrel for my on encore. I'am going to get some 165 grain corelokt for that good luck. :lol:

I use 64 gr of RL 15 and a 150 gr bullet, mag tip is best. I get 3074 fps and sub MOA.

I tried factory Rem and Win when I got my barrel. Niether shot very well,but then again,nothing else did either. My barrel wouldn't hold a decent group until I'd fired over 100 hundred rounds. Good thing I reload!

The application of some JB paste and elbow grease finally paid off. Mine now loves just about anything that I've loaded.

I shot mine for the first time the other day and liked it. I noticed alot of copper fouling with the few rounds I fired 5. I may have to try the JB paste on it.

I'll list the bullet and powder but since my load is a little hot i will not post it. start low and work your way up. I use nosler ballistic tip 150 grain and H4831 When you shoot a deer in the chest everything inside turns to jelly, the farthest i've had one run is 50 feet. If you shoot for the neck at under 100 yds you stand a good chance at decapitaing theem
