I have three Shooting Chrony units (2 original F-1's and a Gamma Master).  You can buy the rebuilt F-1's on Chrony's site for around $49.

I like my shooting chrony beta, not that I'm an authority. I've only had it for a month.

Get the PC interface cord if you like to store your data on your computer. I'm try to decide what software to use. The included disc is an old dos proggy that works OK, but is kinda clunky.

It's great to see just what the handloads are doing. Ballistic calcs can be used with more confidence.

thanks I went to the above links and found the threads on the subject.I am thinking about one of the F-1 rebuilds at $49 to see how I like it,sounds good but not upgradeable.Do the diagnostics help that much or is just knowing speed enough?SGB :D

depends on your expectations.  I have had a basic Chrony since Noah came ashore and I use it to see how fast my bullets are going.  That and a pencil and paper has worked for me.

I've used the F1 several times now. Love it.
