30-06 180's....Nosler Partition or Barnes Triple Shock?

I have hunted in Ontario and now Saskatchewan.  When alot of hunters talk about Whitetail in the States especially the South they are not huge deer.  Therefore I thought I would ask you guys.  I will be in a treestand furthest shot 150yds probably closer to 75yds.  Is the Barnes too much?
 
I don't want to go under 180grs.  So what do the experts that live in Canada use and think?  I live in Minnesota and almost all my special fishing and hunting is done in Canada.  You have a wonderful country that has endless beauty for any outdoors person.   Thanks  Buckfever

You don't really need that stout of a bullet for whitetails - especially at the range you mention.

I hunt Ontario, and seldomly have a shot over 100 yds.  I use 180 grain ballistic tips loaded back to 2470 fps.  I usually get bang/flop results on our deer, and they aren't all that much smaller than the  western variety.  I'd say if it works in Minnesota, it should do the same job in Saskatchewan.

the strain of whitetails in manitoba and sask. is the same subspecies as in minnesota. body size is very similar. I agree you should load back the 180's. less meat damage.
