just got my first #1

:D  it is a 45-70 blued wood stock  this weekend i took it out and shot two boxes of the pmc cowboy ammo but it still very impressive power wise on bowling balls and pins just shred them with the cast bullet i was shooting open sights at about 37 yards.

Congratulations superdown! Is this a brand new #1, or did you buy it used? They are both beautiful, and accurate, and the .45-70 is a great caliber too!

I also have one and it is a fun gun to shoot. I reload some 400 gr. Barnes X bullets intended for the 458 Win Mag. What a power house.  :D

:)  i bought it used  it came with an adjustable trigger  i would have to be in 95% of new condition. i hope to use it on black bear here in western washington were i live season opened aug.1 were allowed two each every year .one on the west side and east side of the cascades . i dont reload so does anybody have experience hunting factory loads. thanx ,superdown

superdown, the Remington 405 gr. factory round would work good for your application.  :D
