Looking forward to my short hunt
« on: August 01, 2005, 05:40:26 AM »
Well it looks like I will only get 2 days to hunt for bear in Minnesota this year.
I only have 1 day to bait and two to hunt so I hope that I get one interested right away.
It won't be easy but I have had bears hit baits the first day before but I had a week to hunt them, but was not rushed to try and harvest one in 2 days.
I hope that they are hungry!
I will be in zone 26 and close to Dora Lake.

Well I had a great time and put in a lot of work setting up the bait sights and put some serious hours on the stand in the two and a half days that I had to hunt but ended up with no bear.. what a bummer but I kind of expected it because of the short time I had to do it but still I had to go as you all know how much fun it is.

There is always next year..

How did everyone else do?   Pictures??

corn and acorns similar to how they are in wi?  corn is prfectly ripe and acorns are having a crop like i aint seen in years.  my bait is a wasteland right now compared to two weeks ago.  after having multiple hits each day...im down to 1 or two every 3 days or so....our season opened today and i only saw one skinny youngun and he wasnt even goin to the bait.
