For all around, H4350 or Varget will do excellent.

I've had good luck with IMR 4895 on every thing from .223 up to .270

I just like it and it keeps it simple using one powder

With the light & medium weight bullets, 70 - 85grs., in .243Win. I do best with IMR4064 and IMR4895.  When I load the 95 - 100gr. bullets I prefer IMR4350 and IMR4831.  It seems the slower powders work better with the heavier bullets.  Just one mans opinion.  Best wishes.

I ended up giving Varget a try, due to the fact due to the fact this powder is supposed to have excellent thermal stability. I don't want my high preformance handload at 100 degrees to barly go off come november at 40 degrees or vise versa. Anyway thanks for the replies fellas. :D

My rifle loves 37.5 gr. of Varget with the Sierra 85 BTHP at an overall length of 2.235" with CCI 200 primers.  It took a while for me to get everything worked out, but now I am shooting 1/2" at 100 yrds pretty regularly, with a factory Savage rifle. Good luck.
