i found an ultra varmit in .223. it has a cinnamin laminated stock and is in great shape. just a couple of scratches on the barrel up near the muzzle.
it has a blazer 3x9x50 scope on it. the shop it is at wants 279 for it
im pretty sure i can get it for 250. is this a good deal?? i have been wanting a .223 lately and this seems to be a good deal to me. what would be an accurate load for it? factory?? reload?? also whats your opinion on blazer scopes?? i think they are put out by simmons.

Not really!

The blazer scope costs $35-$40 new, at the most, it's an entry level scope, not one I'd want to trust.

If you can get him down around $225, maybe if it has good rings on it. I'd consider the scope a throw away, no offense meant to anyone that likes the blazers, but they are pretty much considered trash by most anyone knowledgeable about scopes, they come "included" with a lot of new firearms.

Tim has it right. I'd steer clear around that deal and right over to Walmart to order it new for $243. The Blazer scope line is, excuse me Blazer owners, trash.

No more than $200.......I have the fluted 223........Love it!
