Recoil question

How does the 445sm in a 10" barrell compare to a 45-70 barrell in 12"? I have a 445sm and am thinking about getting a 45-70. I also don't want to hurt myself. Thanks in advance

If you can handle a 10" 445SM you can handle anything! The 45-70 is a lot slower, but throws more lead so total recoil may be more but it hurts a lot less.

I bought a 14" .44 mag. barrel and sent it to Mike Bellum last Jan. to have it rechambered to .445, 6 scope base screws, muzzle break. Do you think the recoil will be bad on that thing when I get it back.
