I use Speer 125 gar TNTs. They are extremely accurate out to 400 yards. After that wind drift is too great. Only I use them on wolves, much bigger animal than a coyote, about the size of a southern whitetail doe. Bullets don't go out the other side, they literally explode inside. Animals don't go far. They don't work on foxes, not enough left to piece back together. Would expect similar results on coyotes. The only recommendations I have is to try and find some Full Metal Jackets. sillouette shooters use them, they would not expand, just a .308 hole in and a .308 hole out. Problem there is they may run off before dieing and be hard to find. Love my 06, but to be honest it's not a good varmit rifle, hits them real good, just not much left afterwards. Don't use Speer's 110gr HP varmit bullet on foxes either. Now that bullet might work on coyotes, don't know. A fox and a Turkey were the only things I ever shot with it. Blew up the fox, body shot. Hit the turkey in the head, 35 yard shot.
