Marlin 17VS

I guess one would now include the 17HMR here, now. Just got a Marlin 17VS
and topped it with a Bushnell 4-12 Trophy Hunter (that was a scope that I
"settled" for).  Because there was a cross-wind breeze that day on my long
range, I used a wind blocked 75yd range. Two three-shot groups were 1/4
and 3/8".  The trigger needs work (there's close to 1/16" creep to it), and
I'm sure it can do the same or better at 100yds as soon as a trigger job
is done on it.  She'll make a real decent squirrel/rabbit rifle.
We need to change our politicians
like we do dirty diapers.............
for the same reason.

i did okay today i guess, i dont know :)  I am new at target shooting and do not know if i did good or not, i had a marlin 22 with iron sights at 25yds, with a 25yard offical pistol target and ate out the top right part of the circle out of maybe 25-30 shot without adjusting the sights, as for pistol out of 14 rounds on a silouette i got 4 in the head and 5 in the chest the rest strayed in to the arms a little and a couple in non-effective chest shots, it was a small sillouette though at about 20 yards

Henry Lever 22 mag
22 mag PMC predator ammo 3 shots at 25 yards measured 5/16 first time out with new gun so not even broken in yet. The Remington VMax stuff would have shot a tighter group but i only had 2 shells left but they were darn near one hole at 25 yards for 2 shots.

Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

Rifle:  Nearly brand new <100 shots fired
Ruger 10/22, Green Mountain fluted bull barrel, Hogue stock, bipod, Gunsmith worked action, trigger and headspace

Ammo/Group @ 25 yards, 5 shots
CCI Blazer            3/8"
CCI Green Tag      1/4"
Eley Tenex Ultra    One ragged bullet hole 1/8"?
Aguila SE HP          1/4"

Tried other ammos with limited success.  Either accuracy or feed probs.
Here are some of the memorable ones:
Winch SupX HP      3/8" vertical line...wierd
Auila Subsonic HP  just under 1/4" with 2/5 stovepipe ratio
Aguila SSS 60gr     1/2" groups with a raunchy ragged hole, tumbling?

Hope this helps
