sources for military surplus rifles
« on: August 08, 2005, 01:08:12 PM »
Good evening, everyone. This is my first post here.

Until I read this forum I never thought about these rifles. Now that I am sensitized to the issue...where do you find them? I don't ever recall seeing any at the gun stores in Wisconsin.

Also, is Gunbroker.com a good place to buy firearms?

TNX,

Fortney

Gunbroker is an excellent site, and seems to be well respected. I have bought a few items from them before, and all is well.
Though if you are looking for Mil. Surplus firearms, you could find cheaper.
Go check out www.surplusrifle.com and check out their www links page. Lots of good distributers there.
I might add Aimsurplus is great to deal with, and is very fair too. One of the best online in my book.

Where to find surplus military guns on the net?
1.  www.aimsurplus.com
2.  www.southernohiogun.com
3.  www.empirearms.com
4.  www.gunsamerica.com
5.  www.gunbroker.com
6.  www.auctionarms.com
7.  www.samco.com
8.  www.sarco.com

At auction arms,  gunbroker & gunsamerica i like to deal with dealers were i can.  I haven't been scammed yet but some have just make sure you get the 3 day inspection or make sure its a money back guarentee the buyer is out the shipping for one way most of the time.

Now in your local area check your gun shops, gun shows and pawn shops on a regular basis keep on going back these do get turned in and sell quickly.  Tell the guy in the gun shop what your interested in and he can call you when he gets this stuff too he will be happy to hook you up!!!!

BTW:  When you search the auction sites for a gun put the info in different ways do a few searches for the same gun.  Different stuff does come up while the other stuff won't each time.  Armed with this trick I have been the only bidder at times because no one else has seen what i'm bidding on.  For some reason it works.

Example;  7mm mauser,  mauser 7mm,  7x57 mauser,  mauser 7x57,   7mm,    7x57    or      mauser
