Burris 20x60 landmark spotter ?
« on: August 08, 2005, 03:11:03 PM »
Being on a limited(fixed) income I don't have $500 to spend on a new spotter. My 25x Leupold isn't good enough to see 7mm holes at 200 yards. Is the landmark a decent spotting scope for ~220 bucks ?

I would look for a Leupold or Bushnell.  I run from Burris like the Black Plague, based on my experience they have the WORST customer service in the industry.

If that Leupold scope isn't enough for you nothing Burris makes will help. Neither will anything in the under $250 class.

I think you guys are right! It must have been an atmospheric thing making the target so fuzzy looking.Hot & humid days don't make for decent range work.My 6.5x 20 Leupold worked fine at 200 with 6mm's on a cooler Monday afternoon. Maybe I'll use the $$ for more BULLETS and powder!

We all can use some extra $$$$ for bullets and powder. Then we get to shoot more.  :D  :-D

I have to take the humble road and go back with Burris.  They stand behind the product.  I suggest you do not deal with the online customer service, but rather send the product directly to the factory.

I have one of the Burris Landmark (imported) 12-24x scopes.  The usefulness is limited to 100 yards for bullet holes 30 cal and smaller.  It's a handy sized and inexpensive scope but compared to my neighbors Leupold, it pales.  I don't have the extra few  hundred to upgrade but if I did, I would.
